Is it possible to get interstitial cystitis (IC) from having extremely rough sex one time? It was my first time a month ago and ever since I have been having UTI symptoms, but no infection.
Clarification: This is not just plain cystitis I am asking about, but interstitial cystitis, which is a chronic condition in which no bacteria is present.

I am a nursing student and had the following question on my final:

A patient with liver cirrhosis presents to the ER with sever vomiting. What may be the issue?

a. esophageal varices
b. a plasma accumulation in the peritoneal cavity
c. decreased excretion of bilirubin
d. increased bile stasis

….i didn’t choose esophageal varices because i thought it would mention VOMITING BLOOD if that were the answer, otherwise I only thought the bleeding was a side affect of varices.

….i know decreased excretion of bilirubin would lead to jaundice

…i chose plasma in the peritoneal cavity because i was thinking ASCITES. i know ascites is fluid build up in the abdomen and i thought that would definitely cause nausea leading to vomiting.

I have like a rash of bites almost covering my legs above my knees and quite alot over the rest of my body. they could be bed bug bites. i have sore muscle joints and a really bad looking rash. does anyone have any ideas on fixing these problems?

through my ultrasound there is a possiility that I have NASH, which is fatty liver with inflammation (non-alcoholic). I’ve asked a few gastroenterologists and they think it’s probably attributed to my high cholesterol (not obese) so they want me to lose weight, eat right and exercise which I have been doing. So now I’m at my ideal weight and I feel good having this change of lifestyle with less excess fat. I’m sure I have done good to my liver. I was told this condition can be resolved if you live healthy. However I’ve read that someone said on yahoo answers that this condition will ultimately need a liver transplantation. Is this true for everyone? Or does it apply to people who do not follow their doctor’s orders and continue to harm their liver. I really do not want any type of liver transplant or cirrhosis in my future period, but i’d like to know if my dietary/lifestyle changes has definitely prevented me from doing so?
